We try to anticipate questions you might have about our
horseshoeing service and provide the answers here. If you need
additional information contact us.
1.
Do I need to be there while you work on my
horses?
If your horses are well behaved and tie good, no. Some people
like to be there the first time to see how I get along
with the horses. But everyone has a job and sometimes you can't be
there. I try to handle the horses so you don't have to be there.
2.
How often should I have my
horses shoed or trimed?
Some horses need to be reshoed at four weeks and some need
it at eight weeks. I recommend putting most horses on a six weeks
program. It's more like a maintenance program, if the farrier comes
at six weeks (before the shoes fall off) he can do a better job,
and you never have to worry about getting the farrier out before
you can use the horse.
3.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes, I'll replace the shoes for five weeks. After that it's
probably best to reshoe the horse all the way around to keep the
horses balanced.
